A consent-first marketplace
for the AI-talent era.
PersonalityAI is the first marketplace where every digital replica was recorded with affirmative consent, can be revoked by the artist at any time, and ships with a cryptographic provenance trail. The company exists because the law and the tools both shifted in 2024 — and almost no one in the generative-video market is building for the version that comes next.
Why now.
In the eighteen months between the SAG-AFTRA strike settlement and the passage of California's digital-replica statutes, a market that didn't exist became unavoidable. Generative-video tools learned to clone faces and voices fluently. Working actors learned that no standard contract had ever spelled out what that meant. Brands learned that “AI talent” was now a line on the campaign budget — and a line on the legal exposure.
PersonalityAI is the answer to a single question every party in that market is now asking out loud: what does consent-first AI talent actually look like? We think it looks like a public roster of working actors who recorded a deliberate twenty-second take, signed a per-use boundary agreement, and can revoke any campaign at any time. We think every output should ship with a C2PA-style provenance signature. We think the artist should keep the royalty.
The competitors that defined the first generation of this category trained on scraped internet footage, hid behind terms-of-service consent, and built no revocation channel. The competitors that define the second generation will not.
The four statutes worth quoting.
Reporters covering AI-talent stories ask us about these four every week. The summaries below are accurate as of publication; the citations link to the bill text where available.
California AB 2602 + SB 942 (2024)
Codifies digital-replica consent requirements for performers and mandates AI-content provenance disclosure on covered platforms.
New York Senate Bill S7676 (2024)
Extends right-of-publicity protections to digital replicas and clarifies posthumous likeness rights.
SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical Agreement (2023)
Requires informed consent and per-use compensation when an artist's digital replica is used in struck work.
NO FAKES Act (federal, 2024)
Bipartisan Senate bill creating a federal civil cause of action for unauthorized digital replicas.
The numbers, on the record.
